Hi

I'm Asher. I'm in Canberra, and have been at New Life Presbyterian Church in North Canberra since I moved here from Hobart 5 years ago.

I play for Fyshwick and Kaboom, and also run a church team in the local social league.

Hi all,

I'm Joe (the second one on the forum now ... apologies in advance for any confusion caused).

I've been a Christian for almost 10 years now, having started investigating Christianity through my sisters (both Christians, from non-Christian parents). Attended the Asian Australian Bible Church at UNSW, until we merged with our current church, St Marks Anglican in Malabar (in Sydney, near-ish Maroubra) in 2005. I'm one of the youth leaders there, having seen God grow it from a non-existent ministry into a regular, weekly one where the Gospel is able to be shared with high-school age kids each Friday night.

Frisbee-wise, at club level, I played for Southside / Barefoot (interesting guys) from 2005-2008, and most recently for Fakulti in 2009. I captain Bum Bum Bum Yeah, in the newly formed Darlinghurst League on Monday nights, and play on the same teams as JY and Annie in NSL Div 1 AND 2 on Tuesdays.

I was fortunate enough to be given a guided tour of the ghetto this past week, by Pete and Annie, through whom I heard about this forum. So here I am, guys.

Ended up being an essay. Sorry!
I'm pretty shy ... really I am  , so you'll need to come up and talk to me at league or at the next tournie we're at!

That's all for me.
Take care.

Nice to have you on board Joe!

Long essay-like introductions are good, then us non-Sydney people get more information. :)

Hi peoples,

I know i'm a little late but I thought i might finally get around to introducing myself. My name is Sarah and I'm married to Pete Gardner but I mostly go by Crossie in the frisbee world (my maiden name). We live in Lane Cove in Sydney above a kebab shop opposite a pub (the Australian dream) and I've gone to St Andrews Roseville all 28 years of my life.

I play with the women's club Wildcard, have been to a couple of Worlds and usually play Div 1/2 in NSL. If you don't see me on the field it's probably cause i'm injured (happens to me alot!)

Look forward to seeing y'all round in 2010.

Hey there,

I'm Hope, I live in the lovely Newcastle suburb of Kotara, been here in Newy about 5 years. Now I wonder why I ever lived in Sydney.

I am a full time mum to Sean (nearly 4) and Owen (nearly 1). I really enjoyed playing Nats again this year after having a while off (and a bub). I play for the Sugar Magnolias. I go to Hunter Bible Church, which meets at Lambton High.

Hey guys,

My name's Peta. I've been attempting to play frisbee up in Brisbane for about three years now.

Grew up growing to church but haven't really been going anywhere regularly for quite a while now. That's starting to change, though - I think I've finally found somewhere I enjoy and can stay tuned in for the whole sermon! :D

I checked out this website when it was first up and running and then didn't do so again until Shell sent the email about breakfast at Nationals this year (which I'm a bit bummed I missed because I didn't get the email until I got home!). I think it's a great idea and I'm really glad to see it's getting some traffic. Nice work, guys.

Do i really need to wait a whole year before i can have breakfast again?

On the plus side though, it's a whole year before i again discover that there really is a 6:30am ...

Welcome Hope and Peta. Glad to see (or perhaps, read) you both on here.
